Favorite art materials from the F.I.L.A. Group include:
Canson Heritage watercolor paper: This 100% cotton watercolor paper handles watercolor washes beautifully. The cold and rough press surface is also great for dry-brush techniques in watercolor, or for adding touches of soft pastel.
Canson Mi-Tientes Touch: The Mi-Tientes Touch provides a finely sanded surface which is perfect for pastel and mixed media.
Strathmore 500 Series Bristol: This paper provides a professional grade surface for drawing with graphite and color pencil.
Strathmore Gemini watercolor paper: 100% cotton paper with a beautiful, traditional texture and creamy white color.
Princeton Aqua Elite Series 4850: The Elite series brushes are amazing and work as well as Kolinsky brushes. In fact, I think the synthetic hold up better than the natural hair brushes. The oval brush is a wonderful design and probably my favorite as it allows for washes and detail work without having to change brushes.
Princeton Neptune Series 4750: This is an excellent line of synthetic squirrel brushes. The Neptune round brushes are especially good for expressive mark-making in watercolor painting
Maimeri Blu watercolor paints: These are gorgeous Italian watercolors of the highest purity and perfection of colors. The line has many single pigment colors made without additives.
Daler Rowney Aquafine Watercolour and Watercolour Inks: These watercolors contain a high level of pigments and provide, clean, beautiful mixes of color.
Lyra Rembrandt Aquarell: These professional grade watercolor pencils are a perfect accessory for a watercolor artist and a excellent for detail work and sketching.
